SBA Memphis Law Golf Classic

Oct. 13th At North Creek Golf Club, Noon. This is the set date for the 2007-2008 tourney. The Golf tour. is always a great event, year in and year out. The format is a 4 person scramble (e.g.-Best ball); thus, skill level is not of great importance. What is important is people showing up and having fun. Lunch and drinks will be provided throughout the day, prizes will be avaliable to the top finishers and longest drive/closest to pin winners. In addition, Goodie bags will be given to all players. The event is open to anyone, so bring your family/friends. Sign up at the law school, but "walk-ups" are welcome. Price will be $50 per player. Hope to see yall there.

Raffe's Beer Garden (Thursday March 1st)

Come kick off Spring Break Thursday night at the Beer Garden!

Raffe's offers an extensive collection of international and domestic beers including a selection of more than 200 microbrewed and unusual beers from all around the world.

The Garden is located behind Raffe's Deli & International Beer Market on Poplar a couple of blocks West of Highland and serves its vast array of beers and cigars in a Mediterranean/Middle Eastern styled area.

Trivia Sucess!

Trivia night was a great success!

We had great attendance by all schools and with your help were able to raise over $350 for the American Heart Association.

The law school once again came out winners, showing that we are either 1) more well-rounded or 2) know more useless information than the med or dental students.

Either way, the SBA thanks all of you that came out for such a great cause.

Trivia Night for Charity!

Tomorrow night @ 8p.m., the SBA is hosting a trivia challenge for charity @ the Young Avenue Deli in Cooper-Young.

Other area professional schools have been invited (i.e. dental school, med school, pharmacy school, etc.), so the gauntlet has officially been thrown down and brains are ready to battle!

Teams of 2 to 8 people are invited, and the entry fee is $5 per person. Proceeds will go to the American Heart Association, and in light of our holiday this week, we hope you'll have a heart to help hearts!

All domestic drafts are only $3, and the winning team will receive a cash prize.

The law school has the proud distinction of having won this trivia challenge last year, so round up the smartest friends you know and come defend our title while helping the American Heart Association.

Bar Review & Basketball

This week's Bar Review will be at Gill's on the Highland Strip.

Come watch the Tigers take on UAB. Bar review and drink specials will begin at tip off which is scheduled for 8pm.

In addition to the numerous high def. tv's, Gill's also has several dart boards, Golden Tee, and Photo Hunt/Trivia machines.
