Bar Review this week will be at Brookhaven Pub in East Memphis. It is on the same circle as the Windjammer, but on the side closer to the Clark Tower.

Brookhaven has a great set up with a great deck, incredible plasma screen tv's, dart boards, and Golden Tee.

TBA Day 2006 / Bar Review (Free Pizza & Free Alcohol)

This Thursday, October 26th, the Young Lawyers Division of the Tennessee Bar Association is holding 3 separate events.

The first event will be from 11-4. The TBA will have an informational table set up in the student lounge for anyone and everyone to stop by, ask questions, and sign up for a student membership.

The second event is lunch. The TBA has graciously agreed to provide free pizza at noon in the student lounge.

The third event is a networking reception and will be held in conjunction with bar review and will be held at Swig downtown.

From 6-9, the Tennessee Bar Association is picking up the tab! Come enjoy your choice of 5 different drinks and complimentary appetizers. This event is a great opportunity to hang out with your friends and interact with local attorneys and TBA members.

Following the reception, drink specials will continue. While nothing is better than free, students and TBA members alike are encouraged to stay and hang out in the martini lounge or on the patio if weather permits.

Bar Review for October 19th will be at Old Venice

Old Venice is in East Memphis and has a great atmosphere. There are great drink specials and we have the side room reserved for the law school. In addition to the side room, the bar area is great and Old Venice has an excellent patio.

Homecoming Tailgate -- Free Beer & Food!

The SBA and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society (SELS) are co-sponsoring a tailgate for this Saturday's homecoming game against Tulsa.

The game starts at 7pm and the tailgate should be up and running by 4:30 or 5:00.

Students don't need to worry about tickets. All you need to do to get in the game is swipe your student ID at the gate. For those who would like to bring along a few friends or family members, you can stop by the bursar's office in Wilder Tower and pick up 2 guest passes for $7 a piece.

Special guests such as the University's general counsel will be in attendance, and everyone is welcome to attend.


Beer and food will be free courtesy of the SBA and SELS.

The location of the tailgate will be announced later this week. For more details, be on the look out for flyers or for an email.

Halloween Party Oct. 27th!

If you haven't already started planning your costumes, you better start now.

The annual Halloween party with the other "pre-professional schools" (i.e. the med school, dental school, pharmacy school, etc.) is set.

The Halloween party will be on Friday, October 27, and will be at Stop 345 on the corner of Madison and Danny Thomas.

There will be a $5 cover at the door, but drinks will be free and there will be cash prizes for the top costumes. Everyone is welcome, so don't be afraid to bring your friends.
